Who's Dr Mike Skinner?

Mike Skinner is to appear in a future episode of "Dr Who", he has claimed.

The Streets leader revealed news of the role in a posting on Twitter but very quickly deleted it.

"You wouldn't believe the week I've had. I can't talk about it but let's just say I got a part in 'Doctor Who'", he wrote.

Although the news was removed, speculation has already spread online and Skinner is yet to comment further.

The next season of "Dr Who" is due to air in 2010.

Steven Tyler Aerosmith singer hospitalised

Steven Tyler has been rushed to hospital after falling from the stage at a concert in America, according to reports.

The Aerosmith singer is understood to have slipped over on a wet stage during a power cut at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in western South Dakota.

Tyler apparently toppled off the venue's catwalk after the band were forced to stop playing during "Love In An Elevator".

He was helped up by security staff and taken backstage, before guitarist Joe Perry told the audience the show was over.

"The sound completely gave out during 'Love In An Elevator' and Steven fell when trying to dance for the crowd to keep everyone entertained", wrote a fan on Twitter.

"Hoping that Steven is okay, the fall looked very rough. Stage was slick from rain", said Matt Becker.

The rocker is thought be receiving treatment at the Rapid City Regional Hospital, although his condition is currently unknown
