In recent years, the two old friends have been plotting a possible Jeff Beck Band reunion with Stewart's Faces sidekick Ronnie Wood
And now it looks as if a new Beck/Stewart album is on the cards.
Stewart tells RollingStone.com, "Jeff and I had a lunch together just before Christmas. He's going up to record some tracks with his band in February in San Francisco and (then he'll) send them over to me, so we're making progress."
Stewart's longtime manager Arnold Stiefel insists fans should be very excited about the prospect of the two great Brits working together: "They have some really clever things planned."
Stewart famously turned down the chance to reunite with Wood and The Faces last year. Instead the 70s supergroup has asked former Simply Red
